Fish are born in the sea and caught by fishers, then processed and distributed on land, and finally eaten as seafood. This process as a whole is called the "Fisheries System". The objective of the SH"U"N project is to provide consumers with an opportunity to consider the origin of their daily seafood in the "Fisheries System".

The stock status reports of the following 19 groups have been uptated (in Japanese); Pacific chub mackerel – Pacific area, Japanese sardine – Pacific area, Japanese jack mackerel – Pacific area, Japanese flying squid – western Sea of Japan fall season, Japanese flying squid – northern Sea of Japan fall season, Spotted chub mackerel – mid south Pacific area, Japanese jack mackerel –western Sea of Japan, Japanese sardine - western Sea of Japan, Pacific chub mackerel - western Sea of Japan, Spotted chub mackerel –East China Sea, Queen club - western Sea of Japan, Queen club - northern Sea of Japan, Queen club – Okhotsk Sea, Queen club – western Hokkaido, Walleye pollock - northern Sea of Japan, Walleye pollock - Okhotsk Sea, Walleye pollock – Pacific area, Walleye pollock – Nemuro area, Japanese flying squid – winter season.
